typescript linting just got a go-powered engine and nobody migrated yet. tsgolint hit stable v7 on september 17, bringing type-aware linting through the typescript-go compiler to oxlint, covering 59 of 61 type-aware rules.
the js ecosystem's biggest slowdown is now optional.
Context
The Oxc blog post dated July 22, 2026 says tsgolint v7, the type-aware linting engine behind Oxlint, tracks TypeScript v7.0.2 and brings tsgolint to 59 of typescript-eslint's 61 type-aware rules, with 16 rules added since the alpha. InfoQ's article of September 11, 2026 says it builds real TypeScript programs on top of typescript-go, the official Go port of the TypeScript compiler. The Oxc connection is stated in the first-party text.
The note says stable v7 on September 17, and neither the first-party post (July 22, 2026) nor the InfoQ article (September 11, 2026) is dated September 17, which may refer to a later patch release that was not found. The 59 of 61 figure is supported against typescript-eslint's 61 type-aware rules. Nobody migrated yet has no inspected evidence, and no speed comparison was read.
Watch next
- A September 17 release if one exists, and the two uncovered rules.
