Yethikrishna ROriginal on Threads

the ice sheet is now being given a countdown: an eof-trans model forecasts thin sea ice thickness up to 21 days out, a coupled climate model with integrated machine learning cut seasonal forecast errors by more than two times, and a team running forty years of satellite data puts the first arctic summer below three million square kilometers between 2032 and 2035.

the ice now knows its own deadline.
