the compute bottleneck just moved from chips to megawatts. the us approved its first bwrx-300 small modular reactor on sept 30 to power ai data centers, after hyperscalers signed over 9.8 gigawatts of nuclear deals and ai data centers hit an estimated 1,000 terawatt-hours a year.

the next constraint is a grid, not a gpu.
