Context
The pgModeler blog post of September 14, 2026 announces pgModeler 2.0.0-beta1. It says the versioning plugin evolves from a basic history viewer into a full Git client in pgModeler Plus, with clone and authentication by username and password or SSH keys. It says the automatic naming pattern for foreign key columns has been flipped to put the table name before the column name, from column_table to table_column, which breaks compatibility with the previous behavior. The release also adds support for PostgreSQL 18 temporal keys (WITHOUT OVERLAPS and PERIOD).
The first-party post is dated September 14, 2026 and no September 18 item was located. Git lives in the Plus plugin and not the base editor, and Plus terms were not read, so baked into the model editor holds only for Plus users. It is a beta release. The passages read describe Git for model files and do not describe schema migration management, which is unverified. Postgres schema design is getting a version control story is the author's framing.
