container security just got an explainer. docksec v2026.9.21, an owasp lab project out september 21, wraps the standard scanners and explains each vulnerability in plain english.
the hard part of scanning was never finding the issue.
Context
The OWASP DockSec page lists it as an OWASP Lab Project that integrates Trivy, Hadolint and Docker Scout. The PyPI listing for version 2026.9.21 names Advait Patel as author, MIT licence and Python 3.12 or later, and describes a pipeline of scan, prioritize with severity and EPSS, correlate exploit chains, recommend fixes and report. It says that with an API key an AI pass reasons over the full scan output to rank, explain and extend it, that secret-looking values are redacted before content goes to the AI provider unless --no-redact is set, and that scan-only mode sends nothing out. SecBurg's post of September 21, 2026 calls v2026.9.21 a quick follow-up to v2026.9.20.
The explanation layer needs an AI provider key, and without one the tool is scan-only. v2026.9.21 is a fix release per SecBurg, covering Compose scan failures, connection-string password masking and exit codes, and the AI correlation feature is described as shipping in v2026.9.20, which was not read. The AI layer explains output from other scanners and does not replace their detection. No detection or explanation accuracy evaluation was found, and the project's own comparison table is vendor-reported, so there is no validated detection gain. The hard part of scanning was never finding the issue is the author's take.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
